Today, in the Fam Jam Zoom, it was requested I define a signature dish.
So.
Defining A Signature Dish
A signature dish is something you’d be willing to be judged by.
A signature dish is something you’d be proud to serve, even to A**Holes like Gordon Ramsey, and be willing for others to form opinions about you, regarding this dish.
My Signature Dish
So, for a long time, I didn’t realize different nations saw scrambled eggs differently. Eventually, after my husband introduced a minor obsession with Gordon Ramsey, I watched a video about him cooking scrambled eggs.
Gordon Ramsey’s Scrambled Eggs Looked Gross
And I fell down a classic YouTube hole, obsessing about various recipes for Scrambled Eggs.
Gordon Ramsey didn’t cook them American Style, and therefore I thought he cooked them poorly. I had no experience with what he did.
My Signature Recipe: American Scrambled Eggs
My recipe is not an international interpretation of scrambled eggs. It is, quite specifically, an American interpretation of the recipe.
With boo coups of cheese.
